The section of the constitution that once listed the existing courts has been removed. This means the courts that were already operating before the constitution—like the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, and magistrate courts—continue to function as part of the regular judicial system. You can still bring your cases to these same courts, and they have the same powers and authority they had before. The government cannot claim that these courts no longer exist or that you cannot use them.

<del>The Supreme Court and the High Court in existence immediately before the coming into force of this Constitution shall be taken to have been established under this Constitution and shall perform the functions of the Supreme Court and the High Court as specified in Chapter Eight of this Constitution.</del>
